1. Charlotte stays in Democrat Control After Record Turnout.

"In spite of our best efforts to get people of faith to the polls on Tuesday in cities across North Carolina, progressive anti-Christian politicians won election to local office in a number of cities, starting with Charlotte. These politicians have demonstrated their animosity to Christian values like the pro-life issue, the affirmation of God-given sexuality and gender, religious freedom, and prayer before city council meetings. For our cities across North Carolina to reflect the freedoms we cherish to exercise our religious beliefs, Christians are going to have to start voting in local elections."

2. Adoption Tax Credit Saved from Republican Tax Reform Bill!

"BREAKING: We have successfully pushed to preserve the child tax credit in the tax reform plan.

Simplifying our broken tax code means ending carveouts for Washington’s well-connected, but middle-income families looking to adopt – and often save – a precious young life simply does not fit that mold. The adoption tax credit is pro-life and pro-family. On World Adoption Day, I commend Chairman Brady for saving this important provision in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act."

3. Coaches Warned Not to Pray With High School Football Team

Should high school coaches be allowed to pray with their teams? 🏈🙏

"Coaches at East Coweta public High School are no longer allowed to pray with their football team after an anti-religion group warned them it is illegal.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation received a complaint and video of coach John Small praying with the Coweta Country, Georgia team, they said. The foundation reminded public school employees cannot pray with students.

Afterwards, parents and students at Friday's game stood next to each other holding hands and prayed, but coaches were no longer present."

4. 12-Year-Old Boy 'Transitions' To Female. Then This Happens Just Two Years Later.

"The harsh truth is, the adults surrounding Mitchell who encouraged his transition failed him. While they might have had good intentions, facilitating a young boy's "transition" comes with life-long emotional and physical affects. Studies have found that upward of 80% of children who suffer from gender confusion grow out of it before adulthood, eventually identifying with the sex they were born."

5. After 26 Texas Christians are Murdered, The Left Attacks...Prayer

As many Americans were in houses of worship on Sunday or preparing to watch an afternoon of pro football, at least 26 Texas Christians were murdered and at least 20 more were injured in a horrific mass shooting that took place during a morning church service in the small town of Sutherland Springs.

Almost immediately after news of the attacks broke across the airwaves and social media platforms, calls for thoughts and prayers began to roll in from politicians and other public figures. This, oddly enough, angered the ‘compassionate’ left.

WEEKLY PRAYER: LIBERTY

LORD, you are the giver of life and liberty. You are the One in whom we find true freedom. We pray with the deepest of gratitude, because you've broken our chains of depravity, and have gifted us a freedom born in love and service.

LORD, may we not take our liberties lightly. Even today, our brothers and sisters all across the globe experience physical, emotional, and social torture because they rightly cry out: "JESUS IS LORD!" Every day, our brethren across the globe experience persecution, and this has been a shared story of the church since its inception. May our hearts, prayers, and resources be with our brethren at home and abroad, and may this reality sober us to the gift we have in our Constitution's protections of religious freedom.

LORD, we also bring these specific prayer requests to you, and pray that your Spirit may empower our petitions: Be with our country and church, as it mourns the death of those 26 lambs that died in your home. LORD, we pray for the City of Charlotte as it now is in the hands of those that would attack our religious liberty in our businesses and our schools. LORD, we pray that you be with the members of the military home and abroad, protect them as they protect our freedoms and liberty. Be with us, and the least among us, as we work to protect the foundational and first freedom. Be with us as we advance and advocate for the chief liberty.

“...and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." They answered Him, "We are Abraham's descendants and have never yet been enslaved to anyone; how is it that You say, 'You will become free'?" Jesus answered them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever. So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." (John 8:32-36)

"It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery." (Ga 5:1)

Amen
