1. North Carolina repeals HB2

They repealed HB2.

The chambers were filled with men and women who have been under a full-court press by the NCAA and the business community for months, and yesterday, the leaders of our State have let the people of North Carolina down.

The truth remains, no basketball game, corporation, or entertainment event is worth even one little girl losing her privacy and dignity to a boy in the locker room, or being harmed or frightened in a bathroom. Today each member cast a vote based on what they believed was in the best interest of their constituents and North Carolina.

HB2 was a compassionate, reasonable law that guaranteed that wouldn’t happen, and provided sensitive solutions for transgender individuals as well so that everyone’s privacy was protected. NC Values Coalition remains committed to advocating for a state-wide standard on privacy protections in bathrooms, locker rooms and shower facilities in our schools and public buildings. Our municipalities should never erode our State’s business-friendly climate by empowering cities to create a patchwork of regulations across the state to force business owners to violate their beliefs or be subject to fines and frivolous lawsuits. While there are some good things that came out of the legislation, this just proves the need for North Carolinians to rise up and push back against political-correctness bullies like the NCAA.  (Read more)

2. Charlotte schools continue to push LGBT ideologies - this time with transgender crayons

First Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools introduced the transgender unicorn. Last week, they tried to impose transgender curriculums to 1st graders with Jacob's New Dress. Now they want them to learn about transgender crayons.

Instead of teaching 1st-graders about boys wearing dresses, they're now teaching 1st-graders about transgender crayons. The book is another attempt to push transgender curriculum on our children, by teaching kids about a crayon named "Red" who has a bright red label, but is in fact blue. (Read more)

3. US Senate axes Obama order forcing states to fund Planned Parenthood, and Pro-Life groups push Congress to defund Planned Parenthood before Easter break via reconciliation

"Vice President Mike Pence broke a tie in the U.S. Senate today to overturn an Obama-era regulation forcing states to give Title X money to organizations that commit abortions. The Senate voted 50 to 50 to overturn the abortion-facility-enabling regulation." (Read more)

"This morning 77 national and state pro-life groups sent a letter to pro-life Members of Congress urging them to enact a new reconciliation bill that redirects taxpayer funding from Planned Parenthood to community health care centers. Yesterday’s successful passage of H.J.Res. 43 – a Resolution overturning former President Obama’s regulation forcing states to fund Planned Parenthood under Title X – demonstrates that Congress has the votes necessary to take immediate action using Reconciliation."
