1. Hundreds of thousands of pro-lifers backed by Trump to march for life in D.C.

"Hundreds of thousands of pro-life advocates are converging on Washington for Friday’s March for Life to mark 45 years of legal abortion in the United States, and proclaim that “Love Saves Lives.”

They gather to mourn some 60 million children killed in the womb since the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade ruling struck down abortion laws on January 22, 1973, and to renew their strength to continue the battle to secure protection for their country’s tiniest and most vulnerable citizens.

And in a momentous first, the 100,000 people that March for Life organizers expect to attend the event will hear from their sitting president.

President Donald Trump will address participants by live-stream video from the White House Rose Garden to kick off the rally preceding the March."

2. ⚠️ CMS needs to hear from you, right now.

Here we go again. Last week, the Charlotte Mecklenburg School board had their first meeting. The members of the CMS school board had a great opportunity to set the tone for the semester and address a number of problems Charlotte schools are facing with lagging performance and declining attendance.

So what did they decide to do on their first day? They decided to change the school board's multiculturalism policy by adding the terms ‘gender/gender identity/expression, sexual orientation,’ to the policy so they can “intentionally incorporate diversity throughout the curriculum, instruction, and professional development” on these topics. That means that the policy will allow CMS to adopt curriculum with which they instruct our children in every subject that affirms and promotes homosexuality and transgenderism.

The CMS school board is meeting this Tuesday to vote on their proposed changes. Click below to see what you can do!

5. School district caves to gay lobby, pays $800,000 to settle transgender student case

"The Kenosha Unified School District has caved to the transgender agenda, dropping its appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court and paying a $800,000 settlement in the case of a biologically female student who says she is a "boy."

In July 2016, Wisconsin high schooler Ashley Whitaker sued her school. She said she suffered from depression and anxiety and that her life was miserable – not because of her gender dysphoria, but because George Nelson Tremper High School didn’t acknowledge her as a "boy" and allow her to use the boys’ bathroom."

NC Values had filed an Amicus Brief on behalf of Kenosha Unified School District which can be read here: Kenosha Amicus Brief

WEEKLY PRAYER: FAMILY

LORD, we cry out to you as Father. You are a beautiful Dad. You are a model of the love, mercy, and authority of the perfect parent. We thank you for modeling for us what every parent should strive for, and for creating this wonderful institution called family.

LORD, we thank you for creating us with a basic nature designed to not be alone. Our very nature calls us into the most intimate of relationships, where we experience joys indescribable: the joys of marriage, the joys of having children; the joys of seeing our children have children. What a blessing and mercy you gave us in the family! In it we find our first teachers, our first guardians, and our first authorities.

LORD, we recognize how deeply you love your children, and how deeply it pains you when they go astray. Alongside our adoration and thanksgiving, we pray in confession--as individuals and as members of larger communities--over any sins we may have committed that undermine your beloved institution. Forgive us when we endanger your institution through selfishness and arrogance. Forgive our communities and nation for attempting to redefine some of the most basic and deepest parts of being human--being made male and female, having lifelong marriage vows and responsibilities, and having parental rights over educating one's children.

LORD, we also bring these specific prayer requests to you, and pray that your Spirit may empower and protect our labor: LORD be with all the men and women who march for the life of the unborn, be with our President as he stands with them! Be with those brethren in Mecklenburg County as they try to stop perversion from being taught in their schools, give them the strength and voice to stand up and be heard. LORD we beg you to be with the students in UNC Charlotte as they are bombarded with information that cheapens what you made for husband and wife. Be with all of our families today, and we ask that your Spirit may empower us to be better fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, and children.

“These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up." (Deut. 6:6-7)

". . . and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work." (2 Tim. 3:15-17)

Amen
