1. Protest on April 23rd by participating in the #SexEdSitOut

Join us for the #SexEdSitOut on April 23rd at 5:00 p.m. in front of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center in Charlotte to protest graphic, gender-bending, promiscuity-promoting sex education to children in public schools.

We have discovered that the NC Department of Public Instruction plans to take nearly half a million of taxpayer dollars of Title V federal grant taxpayer money intended for "abstinence" education and fund SHIFT NC's LGBTQ campaigns! They plan to provide $392,218 to SHIFT NC's campaigns to target older teens on social media to push their Teen Playbook website, which provides "guide to safer, sexier choices."

The website itself pushes what it calls LGBTQ sex guides. They are also directing money to SHIFT NC's campaign to train NC teachers on "How to Be an Ally" and support LGBTQ education in their districts and schools.

It's time for parents to sit this one out. The #SexEdSitOut was founded by moms who were just fed up with the attempts of activists and bureaucrats to rob parents of their right to teach their children moral values and sensitive topics.

Our www.Parents.Vote campaign targets fed up parents and participants of the #SexEdSitOut, by calling them to go vote early during their #SexEdSitOut protests. We want to get parents to the polls, and our Parents.Vote campaign provides parents with tools to help them get registered to vote, and to vote early.

Will you join our Parents.Vote campaign by visiting www.Parents.Vote, and learning more about how you can Sit, Vote, and Go?

3. Supreme Court Blocks Release of More Videos Exposing Planned Parenthood Aborted Baby Part Sales

"The United States Supreme Court has blocked the release of more videos exposing Planned Parenthood selling the body parts of aborted babies.

Ever since the Center for Medical Progress released a series of videos showing the nation’s biggest abortion business and the abortion industry selling the body parts of aborted children, abortion advocates have sued to stop the release of additional footage exposing it further. Courts have considered multiple lawsuits where abortion activists have attempted to thwart the First Amendment free speech rights of Center for Medical Progress and its board members.

The Supreme Court considered a case involving one of the board members of the organization and refused to consider a lower Court ruling that was anti-free Speech in nature."

4. ADF to Missouri Supreme Court: Uphold decision respecting student privacy

"Alliance Defending Freedom filed a friend-of-the-court brief Monday with the Missouri Supreme Court in support of a lower court’s dismissal of a lawsuit that would have rewritten state sex nondiscrimination law into a law compelling people and schools to affirm a student’s self-perceived gender.

Specifically, the ADF brief explains that the Missouri Human Rights Act doesn’t require Blue Springs R-IV School District to authorize a girl identifying as a boy to use the boys’ locker rooms and restrooms, in disregard of the privacy rights of other students. Rather, state law fully affirms students’ privacy rights."

5. She Got Pregnant at 18 and Did Something That Today, Few Teens Do

Wow. Amazing pro-life pro-adoption story.

"Kelly Clemente found out she was pregnant when she was 18. She had just finished her first semester of college, and up until then, described herself as your typical “all-American girl.”

She got good grades, was a member of a sorority, and ran on the track team.

When she saw that pregnancy test, “My life is over,” she thought.

“I was like, it doesn’t even matter. Nothing matters anymore,” Kelly told The Daily Signal."

WEEKLY PRAYER: LIBERTY

LORD, you are the giver of life and liberty. You are the One in whom we find true freedom. We pray with the deepest of gratitude, because you've broken our chains of depravity, and have gifted us a freedom born in love and service.

LORD, may we not take our liberties lightly. Even today, our brothers and sisters all across the globe experience physical, emotional, and social torture because they rightly cry out: "JESUS IS LORD!" Every day, our brethren across the globe experience persecution, and this has been a shared story of the church since its inception.

LORD, we also bring these specific prayer requests to you, and pray that your Spirit may empower our petitions: Be with the parents who are making a stand and protesting on April 23rd for #SexEdSitOut, we thank You for their obedience to You and upholding the values You have instilled in their hearts. LORD be with the Supreme Court as they have impeded the release of the videos that show Planned Parenthoods true objectives, You are the true arbiter of justice. Be with us, and the least among us, as we work to protect the foundational and first freedom. We thank You for the ADF for standing up students everywhere. We thank You LORD for Kelly Clemente and her strength to make the right decision when she found out she was pregnant, we ask You to give that strength to others who might not have as understanding a family LORD. Be with us as we advance and advocate for the chief liberty you gives LORD.

“For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 8:2)

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” (Luke 4:18-19)

Amen
