1. NCVC: North Carolina House and Senate introduces six pro-life bills in the past two weeks
Several weeks ago New York and Governor Cuomo sent a message that shocked our country: NY ❤️ abortion.
Fortunately, NC ❤️ babies! In the past two weeks, the North Carolina House and Senate filed 6 bills that celebrate the love of life by protecting mothers and their unborn babies.
2. WNCT: Longtime Congressman Walter Jones passes away at 76
Congressman Jones was one of North Carolina’s longest serving congressmen, and represented the coastal regions of North Carolina for twelve terms. Throughout his service, Jones’ Christian faith helped guide him as a state legislator and later Congressman. Our prayers and condolences to the Jones family. We are grateful for Congressman Jones' service.
3. FOX 46: NC State Board of Elections to meet this upcoming Feb. 18th for Mark Harris' NC-09 hearing
"It’s a hearing, scheduled for Feb. 18, where any evidence of election fraud in the NC 09 election could be shared, and we could get a real sense of what exactly happened.
The board could declare a winner or order a new 9th District election, and they say the hearing is expected to last two days."
"As noted by The Chronicle, the Boy Scouts of America have suffered a decline in scout attendance, and helped to further torpedo their intake with their decision to lift bans on transgender scouts and gay troop leaders. Last year, the Mormon Church withdrew support from the Boy Scouts, 'effectively cutting off about one-fifth of the BSA's scouting base.'
Troop 19 Scoutmaster Tim McEuen told the Texarkana Gazette that all-female troops like theirs should serve as a model for other states. 'We want other states to look at us and think, "wow,"' he said."
12 all-girl Boy Scouts of America troops have already been formed in Mecklenburg County.

5. NCLEG: Marriage Amendment Reaffirmation Act filed in the General Assembly by Rep. Pittman, Brody, and Kidwell this week

WEEKLY PRAYER: LIBERTY
LORD, you are the giver of life and liberty. You are the One in whom we find true freedom. We pray with the deepest of gratitude, because you've broken our chains of depravity, and have gifted us a freedom born in love and service.
LORD, may we not take our liberties lightly. Even today, our brothers and sisters all across the globe experience physical, emotional, and social torture because they rightly cry out: "JESUS IS LORD!" Every day, our brethren across the globe experience persecution, and this has been a shared story of the church since its inception. Be with our brothers and sisters all across the world who suffer for crying out alongside us, "Jesus is LORD!" Grant them the fullness and power of your Spirit.
“For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 8:2)
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” (Luke 4:18-19)
Amen
