Welcome to the Friday Five! Every Friday we share our top five articles, stories, and quotes for you to read and share with your friends and church families. Do you enjoy and benefit from NC Values' Friday Five? Would you consider making a $5 donation?
Last week we made you aware that the NC Department of Public Instruction plans on giving nearly half a million of taxpayer dollars to train teachers and promote LGBTQ guides.
We need to send them a clear message. We've been working with the #SexEdSitOut organizers to recruit parents to participate in the April 23rd sit-out.
Would you consider adding your name to the petition below, and helping the #SexEdSitOut movement get more signatures?

WEEKLY PRAYER: OFFICIALS
LORD, you are the Judge of the nations. You are Creator of the Heavens and the Earth. You are sovereign over all.
LORD, may we find assurance and comfort in the reality that you are the LORD God. In spite of the political events that are unfolding in our country and around the world, we remind ourselves that you are in control. That the Church is within the protection of your providence. That Jesus is our Prince of Peace, and that one day every knee shall bow and declare His Lordship.
LORD, we also bring these specific prayer requests to you, and pray that your Spirit may empower our petitions: LORD, be with our State as we go to vote for new Officials these next couple of weeks. LORD, you know the agenda and platforms presented by candidates, but most importantly you know their heart. Please reside in their hearts so they can represent your will well during their term in office. We pray for the officials who have the authority to stop the lies that are born in sin, give them clarity and direction so they can be upright men and women who love YOU. We bring all these issues to Your feet and ask for Your will to be done.
“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God." (Romans 13:1)
"For kingship belongs to the Lord, and he rules over the nations." (Psalms 22:28)
