Meet Barronelle Stutzman. Hear an update on the florist's journey to fight against SOGI laws and her appeal to the Supreme Court.
SOGI laws are being considered across North Carolina. They have been passed in Greensboro, Durham, Carrboro, Chapel Hill, Winston-Salem, Hillsborough, and in Buncombe and Orange Counties. SOGI laws allowed the State of Washington to take legal action against Barronelle Stutzman, the owner of Arlene's florist. Stutzman serves all customers but cannot create custom floral designs to celebrate a view of marriage that violates her faith.
Alliance Defending Freedom filed a brief at the Supreme Court stating that state and local governments throughout the country have threatened creative professionals in similar situations.
